Chewing tobacco has been around for many years, well before the early 1900’s. I have been chewing Copenhagen Tobacco since the early 90’s, ever since I made the switch from cigarettes. I had alway grabbed the same type of cope since I started. Until recently I came across the pouches. New to me, but probably no to others, I decided it was time for a change. The copenhagen fine cut, which is what I switched from was a very fine ground of tobacco that you placed between your lip and gums. The grounds are as fine cut as coffee. When I first started chewing, I found that the fine cut was a better choice and more comfortable to chew than a long cut chew. But, though I was getting the nicotine fix that I needed, it tended to stick in my teeth. I really didn’t like that, but I just made sure to brush my teeth I dip to get all of the left over cleaned out. When I found the pouches I was glad to see that they had come up with a solution to the mess that is the fine cut. The simply put the tobacco into a small filter like pouch that you place between your lip and gum. Some of the pouches do not require that you spit, but I found out of habit that I was any way. I have made the switch permanetely to the pouches. They are easier to handle, it tastes great and they don’t make the mess that the other chews do. Copenhagen Tobacco has a variety of flavors to choose from and are offered in the pouches. But, if your are like me, you stick to the one’s you love because you know you will never be disappointed.

Copenhagen Tobacco – Pouches vs. Fine Cut
Friday, May 28th, 2010Let the BBQ Season Open
Wednesday, April 14th, 2010It is time to dust off your grills, put on your cut-off’s and sandels and revel in the day out barbequing and puffing awesome Cigars. Together with my favourite stogies, I like to sip on a glass of scotch and just relax. After such a long winter, which appeared to be longer than years past, last weekend was perfect BBQ weather. I was able to eventually open all of my windows and air out the house. I don’t smoke within, nonetheless it needed displaying out anyway. I tuned up my grass mower because yes, sadly it is that time of the year also. The snow is gone and the grass is growing. I don’t mind cutting my grass and keeping the grass up. There’s really a great satisfaction to a good looking grass and worth all of the effort. This past weekend, I smoked my favorite cigar and BBQ’d up some ribs and pork steaks. I love to think about myself as the master chef, king of the griddle. There is nothing like lighting those coals and going to the city on bountiful meats and veggies. Naturally I think of myself as a charcoal man, I adore the flavour of the grill. If you use gas, it does not get the smokey flavour that I love and is way overrated. I invited all of my buddies and naturally the spouse and youngsters were there. It’s a bit to cold to swim yet, but once commemorative day comes around, I’ll open the pool for the season. My children love swimming and splashing around, I am also known to take a dip with cigar and scotch in hand. Summer is a great time to get together with friends and family and enjoying life they way you wish to.
Macanudo pairing with Alcohol
Monday, April 5th, 2010Macanudo cigars have been viewed as a luxury item, due to images presented thru TV and movies of wealthy and prestigious males puffing on a stogie while swirling a tumbler of fine wine. If you want to chill with a fine stogie and a fine libation after work, and are doubtful of how to do it properly, then here are some helpful recommendations.
Traditionally, the cigar has been coupled with a strong drink with preferred spirits that include: rum, brandy, or whiskey. It is disagreed a strong drink, with a sophisticated hint of sweetness, must be coupled with a fine cigar. The idea of pairing cigars with lager has been overlooked, in place of the popular tradition of pairing cigars with a powerful, fine drink. But you should not overlook good old lager and of late the trend has been to pair cigars with various types of lager. It seems that as cigars have entered the mainstream, this has been democratized and popularized but what easier way to enjoy a puff of this newly popularized treat than to try it with alcohol?
Wanting The Most From Your Smoke
Wednesday, March 17th, 2010To truly think highly of a fine stogie, you need to view it as more than a plant in a wrapper. It is far more than that. Great premium cigars are rare. One of my favorites is CAO Cigars, a handrolled smoke that never dissatisfies. There ’s been great composure, observation, and care in making it, from the rolling procedure all the way to the local tobacco vendor. Consider the wine/cigar scenario. You would not sip a glass of 200-year-old wine while having sausage and watching the tennis game with your friends? Of course you would not. That is against the law! The scenario is the same with tobacco. A stunning stogie deserves the perfect environment. Atmosphere: Begin by finding the ideal Atmosphere. Select a location that’s stunning, where you can’t be disturbed. A place with some stunning country landscape is totally terrific, especially during the fall and spring when it’s not too chilly and not too humid. The right beverage to have with you: If you are a new smoker, it is critical to grasp that particular beverages will go with stogies. There is not any definer, as everybody has a different taste. Most highly visible stogie smokers will customarily like a pleasant strong tea, coffee, or possibly a cognac. Some table wines are also very good sidekicks for a pleasant cigar. Don’t enjoy a cigar on an empty belly Have a little break before you puff, nothing that may overpower your palate. Pick something that isn’t really strong. Just a small bit to wake your taste receptors up and prepare them for the expedition to come. Light your cigar and like it for all its’ worth. Take your time and get most out of your stogie adventure.
A Cigar Production
Wednesday, February 10th, 2010Just as the western european wine industry experienced stress and growing pains as united states wine producers gained world accolades, the Cuban cigar industry must face market realities that they are no longer the world figure in cigar production and cigar quality. In fact, the lifting of the Embargo ( whatever that suggests ) will not, can not return Cuba to its glory days. The cigar industry has taken root and gained force in some of the countries mentioned above, and there is not any indication that they will go into bankruptcy if the embargo is lifted. They’re gaining notoriety and accolades for producing quality products that the US cigar backer has grown to accept and love.
Just Days to the Smoking Prohibition
Tuesday, December 29th, 2009So, my town has approved a smoking ban for all restaurants and bars, with only a few exceptions. I am so tired of my constitutional rights being revoked, I am going crazy. I do not apprehend why non-smokers have such a sharp opinion on what we smokers do. I comprehend that smoking is damaging, but I made a conscience selection when I took up smoking, alert to the fact it was harmful. Just because non-smokers want me to quit, does not mean that it is going to happen. Smoking in restaurants has been a favor, but most restaurants provide a special smoking room. If you do not want to breathe in the smoke, don’t eat in the smoking room, you are not coerced to sit in that section. And as well as the workers of these pubs that argue they are affected by second hand smoke, I don’t believe it. I worked in the service industry for more than 10 years, and I know that most of thefellow workers were smokers. Interacting with people, tends to, compels you to puff. And, I have never heard one non-smoking co-worker ever protest about cigarette smoke while on the job in the smoking room. Putting a smoking prohibition in restaurants and bars, ultimately will only save me money, considering I will not eat out after the the new year.
What I need for my Present: Smokes!
Friday, December 18th, 2009I have made a decision this christmas to beg for basic presents that my wife can pick out easily for me. My selection, as always, is my favored smoke from pipe-tobacco-online.com. She won’t even have to take leave of our apartment, she can go online (I have all my favorites sites saved) and make out the order there. As far as other gifts, she can go to the nearest shop and pick out a gift. She says to me every Christmas that I am the most baffling husband to buy for. But we have been inseperable for over 15 years! And if she doesn’t realize the things I admire by now, I give up. I continuously mention every holiday, “I want stogies”, I puff on 1 or 2 a day, and that adds up. I bought a humidor for storing my stogies, “what’s that for?” she askes. Well my sweetheart, it’s to keep my cigars refreshed. So, if you get me stogies for the holiday I can hold them in there for a few months and pull a cigar when I am wishing to savor one. Although I have to say, I was blessed with luck last year, she bought me a lighter that was ingraved with my initials. The year before, she gave me a fishing pole, without thinking I said I would like to go fishing again someday. Well, I went fishing one time in two years, but guess what, I still enjoy 1-2 stogies every day. Well what do I want for the holiday this year? I want Cigars, and anything else would just be an additional delight.
Tobacco: Guide for the average cigar smoker
Tuesday, November 10th, 2009The most basic method of categorizing cigars is by the method in which they are made. Cigars are either rolled by hand, or manufactured by machines. The newer smoker may be tempted to start by trying those machine made brands sold in Drug Stores, such as Parodi. However, the aspiring connoisseur should consider spending a few more pennies and moving up to hand rolled cigars, which are sold online or at a local tobacconist.
Daily Smokers Vs Connoisseurs
MostIndividual cigar smokers have their own specific tastes, and have their own individual financial constraints. Those who enjoy smoking several cigars per day may need an “everyday” cigar that is cheap. Therefore, the taste and cost of machine made cigars can be very attractive to some smokers. However, to the aspiring or experienced connoisseurs, the ones who enjoy an occasional cigar as a special treat, the hand rolled cigar is worth every dime.
