Just as the western european wine industry experienced stress and growing pains as united states wine producers gained world accolades, the Cuban cigar industry must face market realities that they are no longer the world figure in cigar production and cigar quality. In fact, the lifting of the Embargo ( whatever that suggests ) will not, can not return Cuba to its glory days. The cigar industry has taken root and gained force in some of the countries mentioned above, and there is not any indication that they will go into bankruptcy if the embargo is lifted. They’re gaining notoriety and accolades for producing quality products that the US cigar backer has grown to accept and love.
